Managing Submissions
- Review the completed application for consistency and to make certain a unified picture of the student is presented
- Decide if a letter of explanation should be entered to describe a special circumstance (injury, illness, death in the
family, emotional problems) affecting a grade or grades in a specific semester
- Advise the student on any additional information to provide admissions after the application has been filed;
when to do this; how to reaffirm the continuing interest in the college after the application has been received but
before an admission decision is made
- Contact admissions counselors to gauge student's chance of acceptance at choice of colleges and determine how to
enhance chance of admission
- Discuss how to appeal an admissions deferral
